This project is not part of the GNU Project.

Web Documentation Typesetter (WDT for short) is a program for formatting documents for publication in web sites. It is more suitable for writing articles about programming.
wdt's syntax is something like a hybrid of GNU Troff and that used in Wikis.

Main concepts:

  • Syntax highlighting of source code;
  • Fully configurable presentation of output files (using macros);
  • Licensed under GPL ;)
  • Scripting in documents (e.g. if-then-else structures)
  • Small size, high speed, absolute portability.

Output formats:

  • HTML, XHTML - main
  • DocBook
  • LaTex
  • Texinfo
  • Plain text / ASCII
  • Any other by using macros
