Hi,

ok - thanks. I will checkin the current

Hi, I approved your project.

A few files lack a copyright notice or a license notice; be sure to fix them before to import the project in Savannah.

You will receive a confirmation mail shortly.

I suggest you work on this and resubmit the project at Savannah once it is fixed.

What do you think?

Ok, I see - most of the software is written
by me so the parts which may not free as e.g. ANN
will be removed. This wouldnt effect the program
as a whole. The other changes will need some time.

What do you mean?

These files say that they may not be used commercialy, which makes them non-free software. We cannot access to host or depend on these files for this reason.

Hi,

I've studied the tarball, and there are a few legal issues.

First, a lot of file in the archive are non-free. They are released under a license that does not allow commercial use. If you can, please get rid of this code. Otherwise, we won't be able to host your project at Savannah.

Another less important issue is that you do not have consistant
copyright and license notices in all your files. In order to release
your project properly and unambiguously under the wxWidgets license,
please place copyright notices and permission-to-copy statements at
the beginning of every file of source code.

In addition, if you haven't already, please include a copy of the
plain text version of the license in the archive.

The following URL are useful documentation on the subject:

Hi,

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.

The wxWidgets license is compatible with the GNU GPL, hence can be used for projects hosted at Savannah. Note that when using wxWidgets, you do not need to apply the wxWidgets license to your code.

Can you send me a tarball of the source code (cvsweb is not practical for code review)?

The program Mole consist in a lot of parts of plugin
libaries which are .so or .dll (depending on the OS)
and make as well as the whole program very much usage
of the wxWidget library. The code for the text representation
is taken from the wxWidget library.

Description:
------------
Mole is a framework for the implementation of a
Optical Character Recognition (OCR) program. Mole
is a high modular, plugin based program supporting all
main process steps involved in OCR. The program offers
a basic implementation for all necessary OCR steps such as
image reading (different formats), segmentation (histogram based), feature extraction (statistical moments), model building and classification (multi layer perceptron). It is possible to store
obtain segmentations and the produced text. Mole uses wxWidgets
a free library for platform independend software development.

The current version is very alpha and located at:
