Hello.

We (should) only review the code which you plan to publish on Savannah. Don't publish any GIF files on Savannah because of the reasons named in previous mail.

Nevertheless I don't see further problems.
So I have approved your project.  You will receive an automated e-mail containing detailed information about the approval.

Regards.

Hi,
thanks for taking time to evaluate my project.

I plan to use Savannah as my first choice (and delete the Sourceforge project as I wouldn't need it anymore).

I have deleted the whole documentation directory of my package, it will now be part of the website and will not be distributed. However, I've added copyright informations as you've told me to do (in the documentation and in the files that lacked it -"(some) files in examples/ and testgame/ lack information about copyright and license").

I don't know what to do with GIF files: some are part of Dokuwiki (app used for writing the documentation). Do I really need to convert them into PNG ?
Those which are on the website will be converted asap.

I have also added a README file and a COPYING file which contain all useful informations regarding license and copyright.

You can find the up-to-date package here: http://gamephp.sourceforge.net/alpha/gamephp_0.1a%5B161005%5D.tar.gz

Hi,
I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.

At the very first beginning, we don't support projects to mirror programs on Savannah. If you want to use Savannah, then this platform must be your first choice (for the development). Don't use Savannah as a mirror while developing on SourceForge.

So how do you plan to use Savannah?

At second, in order to release your project (./documentation/) properly and unambiguously under the FDL,
please place copyright notices and permission-to-copy statements after the title page of each work.

In addition, if you haven't already, please add a copy of the FDL
(available from http://www.gnu.org/licenses/fdl.html in various formats)
as a section of your works , and as plain text in a file named 'COPYING' (http://www.gnu.org/licenses/fdl.txt).

For more information, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/fdl.html#SEC4

http://www.gnu.org/licenses/fdl-howto.html also covers additional points,
including a smaller notice that you can use in auxiliary files.

At third, (some) files in examples/ and testgame/ lack information about copyright and license, please include there the notices, too.

At fourth, some of your files cannot carry such notices (e.g. binary files, like jpg/png), then you can add a README file in the same directory containing the copyright and license notices.
Check http://www.gnu.org/prep/maintain/html_node/Copyright-Notices.html for further information.

At fifth, please remove GIF image files from your project and replace them with an other format (such as PNG or JPEG).

Because of the patents (Unisys and IBM) covering the LZW compression algorithm which are used when making GIF files,
it's impossible to have free software to generate proper GIFs.  These patents also apply to the compress program.

For more information, see http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/gif.html.

And at last, the address of the FSF has changed, and is now:

51 Franklin Street, Fifth Floor, Boston, MA  02110-1301  USA

Please update (some of) your license notices.

Updates versions of the GPL, LGPL and GFDL can also be found at:
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.txt
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/lgpl.txt
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/fdl.txt

Please update the copy of the license (usually, the 'COPYING' file) in your package as well.

You can find some background and a possible migration script at https://savannah.gnu.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=3766

A new project has been registered at Savannah
The project account will remain inactive until a site admin approve or discard the registration.

######### REGISTRATION ADMINISTRATION #########

While this item will be useful to track the registration process, approving or discarding the registration must be done using the specific "Group Administration" page, accessible only to site administrators, effectively logged as site administrators (superuser):

  <https://savannah.nongnu.org/admin/groupedit.php?group_id=8050>

  My project is called GamePHP.

GamePHP is a free online game development library written in PHP. It intends to simplify the whole development process of such a game (which could be very complex for one person) and handles a big part of games features.
Example: http://phprpg.org/ (it's a complete game)

The project is already registered on SourceForge, but SourceForge's hosting is not efficient enough for what I need.

http://gamephp.sourceforge.net/ (source code available)
