Hi,

I have included both license notices in the documentation files and the updated source code is available at:
http://hepp.gmxho ... ckfs-0.0.5.tar.gz

Regards.

Yes, that would be perfectly acceptable.

You just need to include both license notices in your documentation files.

Can you post an updated version of your project including these new documentation notices?

Regards.

Hi,

I have already assumed that something went wrong with the review of the project because I got no reply for such a long time. But I did not want to hurry anybody so I waited patiently for an answer.
Thank you for taking over this registration.

You asked me to use the GNU Free Documentation License instead of the GNU General Public License for the manual. I assume you mean the two files (doc/unpackfs.texinfo and doc/unpackfs.info).

I read the GNU Free Documentation License and I am not sure if this license is the right license for the manual because it is a complex license and adresses (in my opinion) much larger manuals.

So if you insist on changing the license for the manual would it be acceptable to license it under both licenses, the GNU Free Documentation License and the GNU General Public License?

Regards.

Hi,

The notices are good, but you licensed your manual under an old-style GNU license for manual.

We ask you to use the GNU Free Documentation License instead.

In order to release your project properly and unambiguously under the GFDL, please place copyright notices and permission-to-copy statements after the title page of each work.

In addition, if you haven't already, please add a copy of the FDL (available from http://www.gnu.or ... licenses/fdl.html in various formats) as a section of your works.

For more information, see http://www.gnu.or ... ses/fdl.html#SEC4

http://www.gnu.or ... es/fdl-howto.html also covers additional points, including a smaller notice that you can use in auxiliary files.

Regards.

Hi.

Sorry for the inconvenience - unfortunately Jonathan could not continue helping Savannah, and we did not checked the projects he were reviewing.

I'm taking over this registration.

Hi,

I want to ask if there is a problem with the unpackfs project because there is no change for more than 2 months now.

In the meantime I made some further changes and the newest source code is available at:
http://hepp.gmxho ... ckfs-0.0.4.tar.gz

I would be happy if the project could be approved.

Regards.

Hi,

I have added the copyright and license notice in the 'configure.ac' file.

The updated source code is available at:
http://hepp.gmxho ... ckfs-0.0.2.tar.gz

Thank you very much for evaluating unpackfs!

Hi,

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.

You have the copyright and license notice missing in the
'configure.ac' file, please fix this issue. Apart from this you can be
approved at Savannah.

In order to learn more about the GNU GPL consider to read these URLs:

   http://www.gnu.or ... es/gpl-howto.html

If you are willing to make the changes mentioned above, please provide us with an URL to an updated tarball of your project.  Upon review, we will reconsider your project for inclusion in Savannah.

To help us better keep track of your registration, please use the tracker's web interface following the link below. Do not reply directly, the registration process is not driven by e-mail, and we will not receive such replies.

######### REGISTRATION ADMINISTRATION #########

While this item will be useful to track the registration process, approving or discarding the registration must be done using the specific "Group Administration" page, accessible only to site administrators, effectively logged as site administrators (superuser):

######### REGISTRATION DETAILS #########

Full Name:
----------
  unpackfs

System Group Name:
-----------------
  unpackfs

Type:
-----
  non-GNU software & documentation

License:
--------
GNU General Public License V2 or later

Description:
------------
`unpackfs' is a filesystem based on fuse (filesystem in userspace) for transparent unpacking of archives.  It shows the content of archives right beside them in the filesystem hierarchy.

`unpackfs' shows the content of an existing directory `rootdir' at a new mountpoint `mountdir'.  It uses the magic library (from the command `file', see `man file') to recognize the type of each file in `rootdir'.
If the magic type matches one of the types in the config file of `unpackfs', it runs the appropriate command to unpack or convert the matched file.  The unpacked content is stored for futher access in a cache `cachedir'.  At the mountpoint `mountdir' the merged content of the two directories `rootdir' and `cachedir' is shown.

The source code is available at:
http://hepp.gmxho ... ckfs-0.0.1.tar.gz

Other Software Required:
------------------------
required: make, gcc, libmagic (from `file'), libfuse (from `fuse').

no special unpacker is required, but without any unpacker the software is useless, so some of them e.g. gzip, bzip2, tar, ar are required.
