Hi,

We did not get a response from you, so we deleted your project from the pending queue.

If you would still like to have your project hosted at Savannah, please register it again.

The re-registration URL found in our acknowledgment of your earlier registration will direct
you to the proper location where you can re-register your project.

Regards.

Hi,

I am waiting for an answer from you.

If within one week I still do not get a reply, I will remove your project.
You will still be able to register it again once you have the time to deal with the registration issues.

Are you still willing to host your project at Savannah?
If not, please tell us - we don't bite, and it will make us gain time.

Regards.

Hello.

At first, please remove GIF image files from your project and replace them with an other format (such as PNG or JPEG).

Because of the patents (Unisys and IBM) covering the LZW compression algorithm which are used when making GIF files,
it's impossible to have free software to generate proper GIFs.  These patents also apply to the compress program.

For more information, see http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/gif.html.

At second, for your documentation please include a .tex file there.
In order to release your project^Wdocumentation properly and unambiguously under the FDL, please place copyright notices and permission-to-copy statements after the title page of each work.

In addition, if you haven't already, please add a copy of the FDL
(available from http://www.gnu.org/licenses/fdl.html in various formats)
as a section of your works , and as plain text in a file named 'COPYING' (http://www.gnu.org/licenses/fdl.txt).

For more information, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/fdl.html#SEC4

http://www.gnu.org/licenses/fdl-howto.html also covers additional points,
including a smaller notice that you can use in auxiliary files.

At third, please add an English version of the GPL in your project, too.

At fourth, in order to release your project properly and unambiguously under the LGPL,
please place copyright notices and permission-to-copy statements at the beginning of every file of source code.

In addition, if you haven't already, please include a copy of the plain text version of the LGPL,
available from http://www.gnu.org/licenses/lgpl.txt, into a file named "COPYING".

For more information, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/lgpl.html#SEC4.

At fifth, if you avoid using Flash you should also delete the swf files.

Regards,

Sebastian Wieseler <kickino>

Hello.
You pointed me to an exe file.

Even though your project is Free Software it can not be hosted here.
We only host projects that can run on a free operating system (such as GNU/Linux).

We have adopted this policy because now that completely free operating systems exist, we do not want to encourage users of those systems to start using proprietary operating
systems so that they can use your program.

If you are willing to maintain a version for free operating systems, which work as well as or better than other ports, you can then provide versions for non-free systems as well.

The idea is that at no point should only-free users be at a disadvantage compared to users of proprietary software.

Your project should always work equally well in free systems as in any other version you provide; if you have some modules for non-free systems, you can delay their release until you have released the free operating system version.

If you accept this commitment then please tell us and we will review your project again.

Thank you for your understanding.
Regards,

Sebastian Wieseler <kickino>

sentences from which up to 15 WORDS have beeb deleted (à trous)and replaced by a scrolling list to choose one,  questions whose answer is freely typed (possible acceptation of some typing and orthographic mistakes)

Answering : the learner must have been created and be logged, Score and answers are recorded. Also recorded when the quizz is not finished.

No problem to saying GNU/Linux in place of Linux

http://sibylle.ouvaton.org/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=getit&lid=4
it is 7zipped file.
if you want another format, I will make it.
version bad working on Unix like systems due to a problem in the includes (use of \ in place of /)

I am working on a new version resolving this problem, and some over due to Firefox/IE not understanding some things the same way

Hello and sorry for interruption the registration proccess but I believe we all don't want to wait years. ;-)

At first, "Linux" is just a kernel of a more complex system that we like to refer to as GNU/Linux, to emphasize the ideals of the Free Software movement.

Would you mind changing references to Linux as an OS to GNU/Linux?

For more information, see http://www.gnu.org/gnu/linux-and-gnu.html.

At second, can you please point us to a direct URI where we can have a look at your tarball/source code?

I am very stupid :
sibylle.ouvaton.org or www.sibylle.ouvaton.org

I zam working on a version 2.5.3 :
1) All can be translated (external files of constants)
2) Supporting MOZILLA nand Internet Explorer
3) RUNNING on a Linux machine
4) Without GIFS and FLASH

So, you can focus on other points when examining the things...

Hi,

> How can i modify the registration details

If you comply with all the requirements I've mentioned in the previous email, you'll simply have to resubmit it one more time.
I didn't ask you to do that in the first place, because I wanted to know whether you considered joining one of the other projects.

> I missed the www in the URL :

Still nothing.

One last thing. If you're gonna stick with Flash, despite using free software to create these files, you'll need to check if they can be viewed using free software such as Gnash[1].

Hi,

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.

While reading your project description of Sibylle, I've found two other
projects hosted at Savannah which have similar goals and use similar
software. One of them is PHPQuiz[1] and the other is phpTest[2]. Would
you consider joining one of them and combine you efforts? If your project
differs in great detail from either of them or is in much more advanced
stage and you still want to start a new project, you have to know that
there's one thing that might cause problem, It's the Flash countdown.
I don't know how exactly this is implemented, because you have provided
an invalid URI[3].

Could you please provide a valid URI so we'd be able to check the
project's documentation and source code, whether it complies with
the GNU GPL?

Could you also correct the description? There are minor typos, and French
words put in the middle of English sentences. The only language that all
of us at Savannah understand is English, so please use it as the primary one.

Unless you aren't already using free software like Ming[4] or f4l[5]
to create the Flash files, we do have three solutions however:

1. You'll have to implement the countdown in some other way. If it's only
a countdown, I'm sure that wouldn't be too complicated.

2. We'll grant you the account to further develop Sibylle, but changing
the implementation of the counter would have to become priority for you.

3. The last solution would be to stay with Flash but use only free
software to do that. You could try either of the two mentioned above
or check OSFlash[6] for any additional software.
