I am writing for approval to code "SorceryNet Weekly Status" into
services. Services Weekly Status (SWS) would, once a week, send mail to
ops@ (or sorcery@) with information about events in the past week. For
example:
-How many new nicks/channels were register
-How many nicks/channels expired/dropped
-How many times getpass and getrealpass was done
-How many new registrants gave email addresses
-Average nick length
-How many memos were sent
and anything else we can think of to stick in there. Also, the K-Line
report could automatically be mailed out using this. The newsletter would
be sent out Saturday at midnight.
Echostar also suggested that services send mail to outage@ after
receiving a SIGSEGV saying that services are down and someone should
restart them, and possibly some details as to why they went down. He
would give me assistance in coding the entire patch.
Is this okay for us to code? Are there any questions/comments about the
patch?
