The AVR32 tool chain currently uses Newlib which has both technical and legal problems.

Right now, I have some experience for 32-bit uC from atmel and I have an access to AVR32 development board (I have NGW100 kit). Having a vast experience in avr programming, I am quite interested in this project and would like to discuss it further.
