Version 2.8, including a fix for this issue, has been released.

This has now been fixed in the SVN repository. The fix is available in version 2.8.alpha3 and later.

The MibWriter currently prints binary and hexadecimal values with the shortest possible length. This is incorrect, since binary and hexadecimal default values are often used to initialize OCTET STRING:s of mixed length.

The correct solution would be to pad the value with zeros (0) until it reached the required minimum length for the defined type.
