UNIX commands and Utilities (as in UNIX manual 1, AT & T Bell Labs) along with network capability have been implemented. The same commands and utilities can be used on different platforms. This application is very useful in offices , institutions where many computers are connected in LAN. User can access other machines by using UNIX network commands and utilities without actually logging on to that machine.

Objectives :-
1. Implementing UNIX Commands and Utilities (as in UNIX manual 1 AT & T Bell Labs) with network capability for heterogeneous platforms.

2. Command sets implemented as Shared Library not executables.

3. Providing Common code base across all platforms

4. Shell – Implemented a shell

Ad-Hoc network is all about providing connectivity between mobile nodes, which have no supporting connections to the fixed networking infrastructure. It is an autonomous collection of mobile nodes forming a dynamic wireless network. The presented paper includes working of ad hoc networks, routing, security in ad hoc networks and its applications.

2) Distributed Network Commands and Utilities of UNIX :-

In this paper, the concept and implementation of network commands and their use across heterogeneous platform is explained, the security and applications are discussed in detail. Also the future enhancements in the same application are proposed.
