1) Distributed Network Commands and Utilities of UNIX
Project Description:
An open and distributed command line interface is been created for managing UNIX, NT and LINUX machines in parallel, by writing frequently used UNIX commands and utilities from scratch. These Commands and utilities (as in UNIX manual 1, AT & T Bell Labs) are been implemented along with network compatibility The same commands and utilities can be used on different platforms. This application is very useful in offices, institutions where many computers are connected in LAN. User can access other machines by using UNIX network commands and utilities without actually logging on to that machine.
Objectives:
1.Implementing Commands and Utilities (as in UNIX manual1
AT & T Bell Labs) with network capability for
heterogeneous platforms.
2.Command sets implemented as Shared Library not
executables.
3.Providing Common code base across all platforms
4.Shell - Implemented a shell
5.Remote execution

2) Computerized Airline Reservation System
A Computerized Reservation System is been implemented to facilitate passengers to get information about flights and to make & cancel the reservations and generate a list of passengers according to flight and timing.

3) Health Club Management System
This system is been implemented to maintain database of a health club, which includes the daily transactions. It also maintains the fitness chart of the customer. The fee structure of different sections in the health club depending is been differentiated upon the admission basis.

4) Library Management System
A computerized system to maintain all information about books of a library. It keeps the record of Book No., Name, Author, No. of Copies available etc.

1) Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi)
Presented seminar Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi).The seminar consisted of introduction to the current wireless
technologys. Followed by the description of Wireless Networking & WLAN.A brief introduction of the topic Wifi. Description of the Current Wi-Fi Standards and its Key
Components. Working of Wi-Fi was discussed in the later part following by the security features available with the technology.
The seminar ended with future of this technology.
2) Distributed Network Commands and Utilities of UNIX
In this seminar, the concept and implementation of network commands and their use across heterogeneous platform was explained, the security and applications were discussed in detail. In addition, the future enhancements in the same application were proposed.
