Pygmalion is an in-development 2D tiled game engine, written specifically for turn-based RPGs and adventures. Among its features are:
- Extremely powerful scripting engine with access to the game's internals
- Few hard limits in what you can create -- you're only limited by the hardware you're working with!
- The source code is open, so you can modify it to be able to distribute your scenario as a custom-made standalone executable.
- Well-supported by a programmer dedicated to keeping it running fast and well on all supported platforms, with as few bugs as humanly possible.
License GNU Lesser General Public License
Development Status: 3 - Alpha
Details (job description, contact ...):
I am looking for one or two dedicated, intelligent Python programmers to work on Pygmalion. Equal billing, of course. Applicants should be familiar with graphics programming and game programming.
Developers won't be expected to work obscene hours, obviously; something like a few hours a week would be great. Collaboration is key, probably over IRC.
Pygmalion is an in-development tiled game engine. It is loosely inspired by a (frankly inferior) closed-source game called Blades of Exile, and is already known in that game's community. Its focus is on flexibility, ease of use, and continual maintenance (because BoE was inflexible, arcane, and abandoned after a year).
