What?
This software is a GNU/Linux Anywhere USB driver.
Why?
DiGi Anywhere USB device can currently only be controlled from Microsoft Windows. The goal of this project is to develop a software that can control the device from a GNU/Linux system. Currently the development focuses on successfully controlling AnywhereUSB/5 product line.
How?
To understand how to control the device, the communication between the device and the proprietary controller through the Ethernet is reverse-engineered by tapping on the Ethernet with Wireshark.
Who?
This project is started, developed and maintained by PT. Vikasa Infinity Anugrah, an Indonesian IT solution company that is committed in harnessing Free Software to create IT solutions, to support its inventory tracking system software that utilizes hundreds of USB barcode scanners to capture item movements.
