This was a minor annoyance to me too. So I had a look at the code and it wasn't that hard to figure out where the changes were needed.
I've never actually gotten around to contributing code before, so I don't know what format the diffs should be in. I have attached them as is (running diff with no flags). Let me know if you want them in a different format.
I haven't tried to be exhaustive, just fixed the ones I wanted. It should be obvious how to proceed from here if you wanted to add any more.
WARNING: I save the password in clear text. If you want it hashed, I'm sure it's not that hard, but I didn't care enough to find a hashing function.

Password and other information pertinent to the saved .rdp profile would be nice if they were saved also.

when i save the connection settings, the general information is saved (host, username, domain, host type), but display settings are not saved. by starting grdesktop with a profile (grdesktop profile1.rdp), the colors are reverted to 256 each time, so i have to set them manually before connecting.
