Feedback request timed out.  Not reproducible.

Nobody could ever reproduce that, nobody else reports
something like this.  If your problem still persists after
5 years, please submit a full -vvvv log to this bug tracker.

1) I have waited WinAVR-20070101 and AVRDude-5.3, but the problem with RESET-COM
 has not disappeared.
2) Is more detailed. I have WinXP and serial adapter from PonyProg. I have made
Makefile through the program MFile (ATmega8, ponyser, COM1). Then in Programmer
Notepad I compiled the program (Tools-Make All). Further I programmed (Tools-Pro
gram) through AVRDude-5.3. I look the message on the successful ending of progra
mming. But on the RESET in COM-port is a high level, which does not allow to wor
k ATmega8. If I delete the cable from COM1, ATmega8 will start normally.
3) If I add an option -E reset or -E noreset in Makefile, there is a message - k
ey -E does not work with ponyser.
4) In PonyProg my adapter works normally. What I should do?

I could not seem to reproduce your problem even on Win32
systems, and it does not happen at all under Posix systems
as those always put the TxD line into idle state (which
effectively deasserts /RESET on the siprog adapter).

Anyway, I figured it might be a good idea to deassert /RESET
explicitly anyway, so I committed a tentative fix.  At the
very least, the problem still doesn't happen to me with the
fix. ;-)

We should probably really implement -E parsers for more
programmer types than just the PPI one, so you can explicitly
specify -E reset or -E noreset, but that's a different issue.

Now that the -E noreset has been fixed for PPI-style programmers,
it could be analyzed whether that could be extended for serbb
programmers as well.

I use AVRdude in WinAVR (editor Programmers Notepad-2) with consecutive adapter SiProg (COM-port). Controllers AVR are programmed normally. However at end of programming on line RES send a low level (RES=0) and the controller is not started, therefore it is necessary to disconnect physically SiProg from a controller. It is necessary to make in AVRdude so that upon end of programming on lines of COM-port high level RES=1 has been established.
