I would really like to have a functionality like this, but it is at the end of a very long list of priorities. I would welcome any patches in this area :)

Make them to stick around selected group of atoms and provide an optional subscript index for repetitions of the fragment in brackets (like for polymers). Provide also choice between brackets and parentheses.
