Hi,

Thank you for your reaction. I am looking forward to be able to use the gnokii software for exchanging address information.

Cheers,
Stefan.

Hi,

Using gnokii 0.6.30 with a Nokia X2. Address entries are written to vcard output when downloading the phonebook, but are ignored when writing the phonebook back to the phone. That means that writing back the phonebook effectively deletes the address information from the phone.

Commands used:

gnokii --getphonebook ME 282 -v > test.vcard
gnokii --writephonebook -m ME -v -o < test.vcard

Here is the contents of the vcard file

BEGIN:VCARD
VERSION:3.0
FN:Test My
N:Test;My;;;
TEL;TYPE=PREF,VOICE:1
X-GSM-MEMORY:ME
X-GSM-LOCATION:282
X-GSM-CALLERGROUP:5
CATEGORIES:None
ADR;TYPE=HOME,PREF:;A1;;;;;
TEL;TYPE=VOICE:1
END:VCARD

To be clear about this: the next time the entry is downloaded, the ADR entry is missing.

Config used:

[global]
port = AC:93:2F:F7:68:F4
rfcomm_channel = 14
model = series40
connection = bluetooth

Cheers,
Stefan.
