Would like to take it up! But i'm new to Open Source so if someone could guide me around that would be nice. One suggestion i do have though is that there could be a max value for the confidence value , and we could stop updating when the value is reached

In libvarnam, when a word is learned it has a confidence associated with it. Currently, this confidence is implemented as a running serial number. For example, if 10 people types a word, then it will have a confidence of 10. This implementation is very simple and works well so far.

This implementation is not highly scalable. When more people starts to use the system, the confidence value could easily go beyond the integer limit.

Change the confidence algorithm and normalize the values to a possible range. This is still in the early stages and lot of discussion is required on what method to choose.
