To make the first column disappear, one can set its width to 0, as with 'set column_ratios=0,3,4'. This works fine as long as draw_borders=false. But with draw_borders=true, however, a border is still drawn around the zero-width first column in such a way that a vertical line is drawn through the second character-column of the second column, covering the first character of each file name in that column.
