Thanks Raul, the checks were great! The commit is now merged into Maneage as Commit 0c882a44.

Thanks a lot Mohammad. While Behzad tell us if the problems has been solved by installing Xcode (or by any other fix), I have pushed a commit. Now it explicitly check if the system is macOS, and not assume this is the case if it is not GNU/Linux.

Also, if the system is macOS, then it checks if Xcode is present in the host system. If it is not, a warning message invites to the user to install Xcode if a problem occurs.

Please, have a look and let me know what do you think ;-)

Behzad, can you try installing Xcode to see if it does indeed fix this problem?

That is a good idea Raul, do you know any good command that we can use to check if Xcode is available on the host macOS?

After Behzad confirms that installing Xcode fixes the problem, we can put it the part where we check the host's Kernel in reproduce/software/shell/configure.sh.

By the way, in that same part of 'configure.sh', can you also check the value of 'uname -s' on macOSs? Currently if the host kernel isn't Linux, we simply assume its macOS, but it would be better if we explicitly check for the macOS kernel and warn the user if its not Linux or macOS.

Yes, I have Xcode installed. This is the very first thing I did when I set up the system. Without Xcode I could do almost nothing. It is very easy to install and probably it will solve the problem.

This is interesting. The fact that I didn't have this problem is because since the very beginning I installed Xcode. So, I am wondering if we should check the installation of Xcode in macOS systems. And if it is not installed, then inform the user to install it.

Probably the fact that you haven't installed Xcode is the cause! Raul actually uses macOS systems. Raul, do you use Xcode on your macOS?

I also know that Mahdieh (which you know) has a macOS, can you ask her if she has Xcode?

From the Wikipedia page, "Xcode includes Command Line Tools (CLT) ...", so its a super-set of CLT and probably includes the very low-level things that are causing these problems.

I tried the suggested method (the second suggestion because I have not installed XCode. instead, I installed command line tools), but the problem still exists and no change is observable.
