Moving to the new Savannah version.

Item posted by Mathieu Roy <yeupou> on Tue 25 Nov 2003 01:07:14 PM UTC.

Tomorrow, Wed Nov 26 at 09:00:00 UTC 2003, the GNU Savannah installation at savannah.[non] will be updated to the current development version of the GNU Savannah program.

We expect the update to only take a few hours and the service will be back online as soon.

This update includes heavy changes to the database structure. Therefore the old database has to be migrated to the new structure.

This has been tested and proved to work on several tests machines, with different databases including the savannah.[non] one. However, if you notice inconsistencies after the update, please tell us as soon as possible at

If you notice bugs in the interface after the update, we encourage you to submit bugs report as soon as possible via the Savannah project bug tracker

After the migration, a news item explaining the majors changes in the user interface will be posted.

The first official release of the GNU Savannah software will follow shortly after the migration of the production version has been finished.

Progress (posted by Mathieu Roy, Wed 26 Nov 2003 10:54:40 AM UTC)

The biggest part has been done, the service is back on line.

However, some information printed may not be accurate, specifically on the CVS page. We are working on it.

A news item listing changes will be posted soon.
