Dates for news look too American (posted by Pavel Roskin, Wed 19 Oct 2005 09:28:38 PM UTC)

The dates for news items are shown in format "Sun 10/16/05". 
Although Savannah is in English, it's not for Americans only.   To make the date format more readable, month should be written as a word, and the year should be written with all 4 digits to make it clear that it's a year, not anything else. I don't think the week day is relevant at all. So, I would like to see "October 16, 2005" instead.
