Radio silence, actual news and the future of MuGLIn

First, I'd like to excuse myself and Gurni for the silence in the past weeks. We have had lots to do for school, about 1-2 exams and 2-3 presentations a week. As if this weren't enough, we have our final exam in about three weeks and some exams and presentations left.
We tried to work as much as possible on MuGLIn and there is progress (as you can see in SVN) but we didn't have time to write news or tweets. We also moved from SF here, which was also unnecessary more work.
The date for the hand-over is on 13th of April, so we will try to do as much as possible this weekend and release Version 0.10.0.0, "Checkerchris". This release, containing all main features we mentioned in our specification, should be quite usable. We may release some important fixes in the next days if we get some feedback from you. But then, we are going to suspend the development until we get back from our Europa trip, on 21st July. Afterwards, we will continue the development and release a feature plan for the next version.
In between, we are hiring a developer, who should fix major bugs and maybe do some code reviews. He may get also a project admin, I will announce this on monday after we sorted some things out.

So what happened the last few weeks?

I (srdj_mark) did some hacking about MuGLIn and MS WDS interoperability and made it to boot a WDS discovery image from our development MuGLIn server. I will publish a howto that will ease the switching from WDS to MuGLIn. I'd like to say here, that we still do NOT support MS Windows as target, so you may need to wait a while before you can really change to MuGLIn

We have now a quite nice testing environment with about 20 PCs with very different hardware (from PII, ~300MHz to some C2D). And we may get some students as testers there, because we training room in our school. Another positive aspect is that we have an enormous challenge there, because we need lots of software and a special configuration there.
