Alog is a stackable logging framework for Ada. It aims to be straight forward to use and easily extendable. It provides support for various log facilities, loglevels and log-message transformations.

At the moment, the following log facilites can be used:

  • File_Descriptor (File/Console)
  • Syslog
  • SMTP
  • PGSQL
  • XMPP (experimental)

The following transformations are available at the moment:

  • Casing (toUpper / toLower)

A Logger-Instance can be used to attach different facilities and transformations to manage them. Log-thresholds can be set for all types of facilities so that messages with different priorities reach various log-targets.

Planned Transforms of log-messages:

  • Integrity (by hashing)
  • Encryption (asymmetric/symmetric)
