Just thought I would post a short update. I am currently attempting to implement Bump Mapping into the engine. Currently this will only support GeForce 3 and 4 cards as it involves custom vertex and texture shader programs, and custom register combiner programs. I'm getting no help from NVIDIA, so it's going very slowly.

The latest code from my local CVS has been imported into the Savannah CVS and is now available. Note that any publically releasable image files that DPGE needs will still be available on the Planet Quake ftp servers. In the near future all such data files will be part of released pak files or pak file updates for applicable games built upon DPGE (such as ROS and NS2). These data files are not really part of the DPGE source, so they don't belong in CVS.
