Le vacataire - Summary
This group is not part of the GNU Project.
This program requires two servers, with an instance running on each.
One (Server 1) is identified as the "Master," and the other (Server 2) is the "Standby." The software running on Server 1 will poll the desired web services (on itself) periodically, and when a failure event is detected, it will notify its peer (Server 2) that it's having trouble. Server 2 then starts up the failover/standby services, while Server 1 shuts its own services down as a precaution.
The definition of a "failure event" is entirely up to you, sample plugins are provided that check a local server's memory, process status, and server performance.
