Are you interested in enhancing the VBE compatibility?

A few years ago, I wrote a small VBE test application, which uses information collected from several documents of VBE standards version 1.1 via 2.0 up to 3.0. There I even found a few details which were documented in previous VBE versions, but not anymore in the most recent one.

And I collected the output of a few graphic cards I could test, with the native BIOS and the shipped VBE drivers as well as with the UniVBE driver. There may be a few interresting differences.

If you like, I may give you an URL where to download this MS-DOS tool (written in Borland Pascal) and my collected report files -- maybe even my VBE-Core/AF Pascal Unit as source, if desired. It works well e.g. from a FreeDOS installation in BOCHS, and reports attributes of the VBE driver, as well as from the Cirrus driver in addition with an old UniVESA version 3.2 (more modern UniVBE versions don't work because of crashing DOS extenders).
