Hi,

I'm highly interested in gmediarender. It's exactly what I was looking for. I've been able to get gmediarender to compile and work on Freebsd-7. Tested it by creating a quick 'n dirty fbsd port for it. The only minor change I had to make to the gmediarender source was in the webserver.c source.

The include file error.h doesn't exist on fbsd. So does it's function error(). I had to remove the 3 error() calls before I was able to compile. Couldn't quite figure out what a good fbsd replacement call for these would be so I just removed them but left the logic intact.

After that it compiled fine and I was able to control gmediarender using an Intel remote control on my windows machine. It also was able to play/render movies from a third machine running fbsd+mediatomb. Two issues remain:

The volume seems rather low.. Remote control vol+/- didn't seem to do anything.

I had to run gmediarender as root :-/
If I don't I get "UpnpInit() Error: -117"
But maybe that's in libupnp?

I'd be happy to test run things :)
