I've had no response from the original copyright holder. So at the moment this code is stuck as GPLv2 or later.

Thanks so much for considering this. I totally understand your desire (and need) to talk to Andrej.  I'll follow along here, let me know if there's anything I can do to help reach him.

The flvstreamer team has no problem in theory with the libRTMP library changes being re-licensed under the LGPL. However, before we can proceed we are legally obliged to get the permission of Andrej Stepanchuk who has copyright on all the libRTMP changes made before flvstreamer was forked from rtmpdump. Hopefully we can get this done soon. We intend to keep the streams and flvstreamer parts under GPLv2 (or later) regardless. As soon as we manage to get Andrej's permission we'll update this ticket and SVN trunk.

Hi, as you may know, the original source for libRTMP has been re-licenesed as LGPL from gpl (1).  I am working on integrating libRTMP into a project that already uses LGPL libraries and was hoping to be able to use the latest changes to the rtmp specific code from flvstreamer (the changes to make it more portable are most important to me).

So can the original files and subsequent (admittedly minor) changes to the librtmp code be licensed as LGPL?  the flvstreamer.c and others would be nice too, but if not I already have my own "wrapper" code that works with the original librtmp so that shouldn't be too hard to change.

Thanks for considering this!
