The SMBIOS specification is public, you can download it from:

https://www.dmtf.org/standards/smbios

See specifically section 7.5 "Processor Information (Type 4)".

I don't know more than what the specification says. Unpopulated means the socket is physically empty (no CPU in socket.) Populated means there is a CPU in the socket, which may or may not be enabled. Disabled by BIOS would mean that something went wrong at boot time and the BIOS wasn't able to enable that CPU.

I saw several different outputs and I would like to know the differences between “Unpopulated” and “Populated, Disabled By BIOS” ?
