I am going to leave this open to annoy me until I release the new stuff into production.  For a few reasons even though it is ready to go I am waiting because things seem otherwise happier with each on their own systems.  Two kernels doubles the amount of network resources available and also isolates git and svn traffic such that one less affects the other.  Haven't had as many issues with overloaded systems with these two split.  Plus there is still hg and bzr to work on and eventually everything comes as a set.

But this is annoying not to have working already.  I'll see if I can't resolve this issue with the current production system.

I tested your link : it works perfectly and the styling is fine for me as is. A big thank you for the silent infrastructure work! I'm looking forward for the new server going online. Feel free to close the issue whenever you want.

Thank you for the problem report.  I can reproduce the problem.

Rather quietly we have been working on the upgraded server.  It's ready but I haven't released it to production yet.  I believe this is working okay there.  It has an updated version of ViewVC there and I think I worked through all of the problems on the new server.

Would you try the new server using the hostname svntmp.savannah.gnu.org and with http not https?  It is just temporary and I have not configured it for an https certificate.

It still does not look styled the same as the upstream example you referenced.  Hopefully less important since that would need more investigation.

When browsing some SVN source code with ViewVC (e.g. https://svn.savannah.gnu.org/viewvc/texmacs/trunk/src/src/System/Boot/init_texmacs.cpp), if you want to use ViewVC's "show annotations" or "annotate" feature (see e.g. https://www.viewvc.org/images/viewvc-annotate.jpg), the message :

Error occurred while calculating annotation data.

is displayed, and of course, annotations are not shown. I do not know when this broke down, but annotations used to work a couple of years back, for sure.

This problem is not specific to TeXmacs' repo, it happens with other projects using svn, like for instance http://svn.savannah.gnu.org/viewvc/electric/
