Attempting to use GNUMail with Google's 'Less Secure App Access' option turned OFF does not allow for receiving or sending E-Mails, even when the login options for sending mail specifies XOAUTH2 as the login method. POP3 authentication fails with one or more console messages stating 'Connection lost to server pop.gmail.com' and sending mail with XOAUTH2 switched on fails with a message saying 'SMTP authentication failed for account (account)'. Come May 30th, 2022, Secure App Access will be the only option. Far as I can tell that means Oauth2.

There doesn't seem to be many ways to record a log with GNUMail, and POP3 authentication only shows a console message, but the following happens in a terminal when I try to send mail using my usual password and XOAUTH2:
2022-03-04 10:59:15.876 GNUMail[343431:343431] Set proxy
2022-03-04 10:59:16.857 GNUMail[343431:343431] Nil host address sent to [NSHost +hostWithAddress:]
2022-03-04 10:59:17.077 GNUMail[343431:343431] AUTHENTICATION_FAILED: |XOAUTH2|

Currently running Debian Sid x64 with GNUMail 1.3.0.
