Hi Andreas -- sorry for the long-delayed response here.  Also, sorry, but we cannot host this as it stands: 1) we only accept GPLv2-or-later, not GPLv2-and-no-other-version, and 2) giving special permissions to a certain company to use the code in proprietary ways does not fit with Savannah's mission.

Registration Details

  • Name: netcc distributed compile utility
  • System Name:  netcc
  • Type: non-GNU software & documentation
  • License: GNU General Public License v2 or later (Courtesy special source code reuse without GPL requirements for my company, special license included in tarball. Note that the copyright is mine, not my company's.)

netcc is a distributed compile utility that works better than distcc for multicore systems. Finds remote systems willing to compile using broadcast or multicast. Watches compiler version to prevent mishaps. Works with gcc on Linux. Ports to *BSD are included (not well tested). Coded in C using pthreads. Should be stable enough for general use (more than 1000 source packages compiled using netcc without problems).

Other Software Required:

zlib, zlib license, http://zlib.net/
