Hi Steve -- I appreciate the thought, but it's not worth the trouble to change the subject of this submission, if that's what you mean.

For any future issues with the project, please submit a new "Get Support" request rather than adding on to this item.  It's only supposed to be for the initial submission.

Thanks,
k

Though my project name has been changed to Free instead of Open, It is still tracked as Open. I guess this is a back end issue? Can someone change this?

Thank you,
Steve

Hi Steve,

I activated the project, under the name free-etc-211000.  Hope that's ok.  (Upon looking at it again, just "free-etc" seemed too confusing, looking like it's about /etc rather than a piece of hardware.)

Please do make the changes discussed when you populate the sources.

Happy hacking!  (and thanks much for offering to help ... i'll put something together this weekend for you to get started if no one else gets there first.

Best,
Karl

Karl,
[project name]
Using Free in the project name is ok.

[derivatives]
As far as the toplevel files. I was a little curious about this when i tar'd the source. These are all derivatives and used by other tools. I supplied these files so that new users of the could test things as they are, without fear of breaking anything.

I will include a README with the appropriate GPL indication on the derivatives.

[gpl.txt]
Yes, I want gpl.txt not agpl. (I'm not sure how I missed that..)

I will work on correcting the contents as per the above notes. I assume you will change the project name?

Thanks Karl,
Steve

Hi Steve,

A couple things.

1. The name "Open-...". savannah supports the free software movement (http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/free-software-for-freedom.html).  So would you be ok with "Free-..." for the name?  (I can change it upon approval, no need to resubmit.)

2. The license statements look fine in the .c files. But whichever of the top-level files (main.eep, main.hex, main.map, main.lss) are not derived, please add license statements there too.  Or if it's not possible to have the license statement in the file itself, state that they are covered by the GPL in a README.  Ok?

3. etc-211000/ contains a file agpl.txt, but you intend this to be covered by the gpl, not the agpl, right?  please grab gpl.txt instead.

Given these changes, the project would look fine to me.

Thanks,
Karl
