Hi Bruno!

Thanks for your explanation.

I was in a bit of hurry, since OS started to
behave after upgrade, so I already host project
over there at GitHub. You may now close this
item.

Thank you for your assistance.

Hi Mario!

You should use a copyright notice that at the very least states
what's the applicable license and point to it on the net.

I think I should have worded it like "That's not enough because that
makes it difficult for people to identify what's the applicable
license and to use, modify and redistribute particular files in
isolation.".  Sorry for not being clear.

Furthermore, it takes no additional effort to redistribute your files
as they are (and people would probably do), but it requires active
effort to strip down copyright notices from your files (and people
wouldn't likely do), so the argument about "indiscriminate
possibilities" doesn't apply.

I'm not sure if I got that "That's not enough because
people may redistribute your files without distributing
the LICENSE.txt file along." part right.

As I read new BSD license, this is in clear violation
of items 1 and 2. I wouldn't bother in trying to enforce
license by having it in every file. After all, if we talk
about possibilities, people could redistribute code with
all copyright noticed stripped from all the files.

Hi Bruno!

You're right about "Some rights reserved.", thanks for info.

As for 3-clause (new) BSD license I'd like to avoid pasting
almost 2 kB of text into every single file. Is there one
(short) line of copyright notice which would suffice in your
opinion?

Hello Mario!

I'm the Savannah hacker in charge of this evaluation.  There are some
issues with your package that you need to address before we can accept
it.

- Your files have license notices containing an "All rights reserved."
sentence.  This is incorrect, because ---as you are releasing your
package as free software--- just some rights are reserved, since
the users will have all the necessary rights for your package to be
considered free.  Thus, please remove that sentence of your
copyright notices.  You may replace it by "Some rights reserved.",
  if you will.

- Your files have no license notice, using a "See accompanying
LICENSE.txt for details." as a stopgap.  That's not enough because
people may redistribute your files without distributing the
LICENSE.txt file along.  You should substitute the stopgap statement
by a proper license statement saying which is the license the file
is under and ideally a summary of the recipients rights.

After these changes are made, please attach an updated tarball of your
package to this task so we can continue the evaluation process.
