I am trying out Filius for our network course and I have possibly encountered an error. If I set up a simple network and try to configure as IP adress of a PC either the network adress or the network broadcast, then in the simulation mode a ping comunication between the missconfigured PC and other PC works. A ping to the misconfigured PC works in the case with network adress and does not in case with broadcast. I tried to simulate this in a real network with Linux machines and what I get differs: pinging from a misconfigured PC to a correctly configured ends with destination unreachable in both cases and the other way it ends with a question to ping broadcast in both cases as well.
