You confuse basic concepts like software freedom and license compatibility. I have a really hard time understanding how you can keep these things right.

Please consider that I wish to have my software hosted on Savannah because it is a demanding platform from the point of view of freedom, without being specially interested in the legal issues the publishers encounter when dealing with software licenses.

If you weren't aware of the difference between free software and open source, that's yet another (but different) reason why you shouldn't host your packages on Savannah. I'm afraid there is no way you can follow our hosting requirements.

I was not well aware of the difference between Open and Free software. I'll try to resubmit a new version of my code without incomptible licenses (provided the Boost license is ok for your philosophy https://www.boost.org/LICENSE_1_0.txt. Thanks to warn me otherwise. Regards.

Your original submission showed that you didn't care of license compatibility, that's what the real issue was. On Savannah, we generally rely on developers to maintain the legal status of their free software package.

I think I could use the Boost Crypto++ library (source, website), would that be OK?

Ok can you tell me if there is a compatible SSL library I could use for my sha256?

LibreSSL is as GPL-incompatible as OpenSSL.

Hello, Emil!

Unfortunately, OpenSSL license is incompatible with the GPL.

Cancelling.
