Hi,

We did not get a response from you, so we deleted your project from the pending queue.

If you would still like to have your project hosted at Savannah, please register it again.

The re-registration URL found in our acknowledgment of your earlier registration will direct you to the proper location where you can re-register your project.

Regards.

Hi,

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.

Your project is not yet part of the GNU project, so we cannot accept its current project name.

I suggest we use 'mediapeer', possibly switching to another name if your project gets approve as part of the GNU project.

In order to release your project properly and unambiguously under the GNU GPL, please place copyright notices and permission-to-copy statements at the beginning of every copyrightable file, usually any file more than 10 lines long. That includes non-source-code files such as SQL files, PNGs and interface builder files.

If some of your files cannot carry such notices (eg. binary files), then you can add a README file in the same directory containing the copyright and license notices. Check http://www.gnu.org/prep/maintain/html_node/Copyright-Notices.html for further information.

The GPL FAQ explains why these procedures must be followed.  To learn why a copy of the GPL must be included with every copy of the code, for example, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#WhyMustIInclude.

Simularly, in order to release your project documentation under the GFDL, please place copyright notices and permission-to-copy statements after the title page of each work.

In addition, if you haven't already, please add a copy of the FDL (available from http://www.gnu.org/licenses/fdl.html in various formats) as a section of your works.

For more information, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/fdl.html#SEC4

http://www.gnu.org/licenses/fdl-howto.html also covers additional points, including a smaller notice that you can use in auxiliary files.

Alternatively you can use a simple all-permissive license for small documentation, as described in this page:
http://www.gnu.org/prep/maintain/html_node/License-Notices.html

If you include documentation such as .pdf's, of course, please include the source form :)

If you are willing to make the changes mentioned above, please provide us with an URL to an updated tarball of your project.  Upon review, we will reconsider your project for inclusion in Savannah.

To help us better keep track of your registration, please use the tracker's web interface following the link below. Do not reply directly, the registration process is not driven by e-mail, and we will not receive such replies.

Regards.

PS: gizmo (wrt VoIP, mentioned in your slides) seems non-free

A little more technical informations are on http://www.radioradicale.it/mediapeer/mptr/index.html

We are at a very initial stage of development.

Note, please, we've tried to follow GNU guidelines in development so far but we were in hurry to show our software to commitents (to let they have a clearer idea of the software, which is ideed very complex to imagine). That's why something are not completely compliant. We did our best in just two month of development.

Next releases will try to follow all relevant GNU guidelines (as we want to be accepted in the GNU project).

Thank you,
Emmanuele Somma

You can download the code from http://bohr.vm.bytemark.co.uk/~exedre/mp/ (please authenticate with user/passwd mediapeer/parrozzo)
