Hi Patrick,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you; our project is going through it's initial steps or organisation and as such the code base is very small, mostly example code based on delta3d. the number of libs which are being planed are also in the drawing board stage working with some other groups that need similar functionality.

As such I think we may have found ourselves going with sourceforge for most of the services, although quite a number of us didn't like sourceforge for it's slowness. their bar is set somewhat lower to entry and we felt we could gain momentum of ideas as a group rather than a traditional code by open person before release style development.

I hope we haven't wasted too much of your time, and we hope that at some point in the future when we have a sizeable and perhaps working code base we can come back and utilise your services correctly.

Best Regards, Martin Owens (Project Leader)

So I close your ticket.

See you at Savannah :)

I am waiting for an answer from you.

If within one week I still do not get a reply, I will remove your project. You will still be able to register it again once you have the time to deal with the registration issues.

Are you still willing to host your project at Savannah? If not, please tell us - we don't bite, and it will make us gain time.

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.

Please, note that your project is not part of the GNU project, so we cannot accept its current type. We want to maintain the distinction between 'GNU' and'non-GNU' projects. If your project is approved for inclusion into Savannah, we will set it's type to 'non-GNU'.

If your project is accepted into the GNU project you may change its type. You can do this by asking us.

Could you provide us more on the required software, OGRE OGL ?? (URL...)

Please include a (perhaps temporary) URL pointing to the source code. Alternatively, you can forward the code to me by email.

We wish to review your source code, even if it is not functional, to catch potential legal issues early.

For example, to release your program properly under the GNU GPL you must include a copyright notice and permission-to-copy statements at the beginning of every copyrightable file, usually any file more than 10 lines long. This is explained in http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html. Our review would help catch potential omissions such as these.

Note that sending code to our repositories is a release, since the code will then be publicly available through anonymous access.

A new project has been registered at Savannah
This project account will remain inactive until a site admin approves or discards the registration.

Registration Administration

While this item will be useful to track the registration process, approving or discarding the registration must be done using the specific Group Administration page, accessible only to site administrators, effectively logged as site administrators (superuser):

Registration Details

  • Name: Aurora Borealis
  • System Name: aurorab
  • Type: Official GNU software
  • License: GNU General Public License V2 or later

Aurora Borealis
This project is supposed to become a FREE MMORPG game

The name above is just a code name, the name of the game is not desided yet.

The projects ambition is to decentralisize as much as possible, this includes game logic as well as AI and of course user interface.

The user interface is supposed to we an "interpretator" for the game and should as such be able to be represented in many different ways.

The projects first attempt will be to make a 3d interpretator
