Hi Sylvain,

Thanks for taking over the project review.

Good catch about the license discrepancy. I intended the GPL v3.
Attached the updated tar ball.

Jonathan is not reachable at the moment, so I took over this project review.

Jonathan was refering to the usage of the GFDL at Savannah when it comes to manuals. In this case this is not exactly a manual so the GPL will be ok. This is a Savannah policy question, it has nothing to do with the applicability of the GNU GPL to hardware designs :)

Just a thing: I noticed that you use the Affero GPL 3 (not the "classic" GPL 3) in your license notices, but you ship the "classic" GPL 3 in the 'COPYING' file. Can you clarify your intent?

Hi Jonathan,

Uploaded the new tarball with only sources and addressing your comments. The necessary hardware design files can be generated from these sources using tools from the gEDA suite.

The license is GPL v3.

Hi Jonathan,

This is a hardware project and the tar ball contains all the necessary sources to generate the binary (PDF included) files using tools from the gEDA project.

Qouting from gnu.org about hardware projects and GPL license:

If I am not mistaken, GPL license is applicable to hardware projects. There are other hardware projects which have adopted the GPL license.

Pls. let me know if agree on the GPL license usage.

I will address your other concern that the copyright and license text be included in all source files.

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.

As your project is just text files we consider it a documentation
project, and for this kind of project we consider that the GNU FDL
must be used, are you agree with change the license of your project?

If you want to know why did I suggest this, please read the follow

If you are agree with what I mention above, please, with your project
provide a source for the documents, not just a binary file like a
PDF. With the source of your files you can put the proper copyright
and license notice inside.

If you are willing to make the changes mentioned above, please provide
us with an URL to an updated tarball of your project.  Upon review, we
will reconsider your project for inclusion in Savannah.

To help us better keep track of your registration, please use the
tracker's web interface by following the link below. Do not reply
