Registration Details

  • Name: Altera PCIe Linux Driver
  • System Name:  alterapciechdma
  • Type: non-GNU software & documentation
  • License: GNU General Public License v2 or later

Description:

Linux driver for Altera's PCI Express core with Chaining DMA.

This core exists as a silicon hard core embedded in some of the Altera field-programmable logic array (FPGA) devices, such as the Stratix IV. Additionally, it can be  synthesized as a soft core for Cyclone II or better Altera FPGA devices.

This driver acts as a reference on the Linux side, much like the Chaining DMA application does on the FPGA side.
