In firefox you can add a keyword like "mld" to the cammand box of the HTML interface. (R-click on the box>"Add a Keyword..")
Then type in the URL bar
mld set max_hard_upload_rate <value1>
Bookmark the resulting page, then do it again for <value2>.  If you put the bookmarks in firefox's Bookmark Toolbar Folder you can  just click one or the other, almost as fast as toggling.
The same trick works for saving searches.

I think OS level solutions like "wondershaper" is much more efficient.

That said, it might be already possible to do this with the mldonkey macro facility. If not, the macro facility could be improved to allow it, which would be a more useful general addition.

Add a button to easy&quick swithch between two bandwith setups.
Sometimes I need more bandwith for other activities and I have had to edit the options, this is a bit unconfortable .
Mulus has implemented a toggle-bandwith button to switch between two pre-configured setups easily. I think it could be a nice feature for official too.
