Hello,

Bengali language is already supported in Gnome 2.6 and 2.8
Glibc already contains, bn_BD and bn_IN locales respectively for Bangladesh and India.

XFree and X.org already contain 2 bengali keyboard layouts. Inscript and Probhat.

Please add Bengali fonts from, www.nongnu.org/freebangfont project. Most preferred bengali font is MuktiNarrow,
http://savannah.nongnu.org/download/freebangfont/MuktiNarrow-0.94.tar.bz2

After installing the font, Gnoppix will get support of Bengali language very easily. Hope Gnoppix 8.1 will have it.

Thanks,
`Jamil
