Problem was not specific to channels beginning with "&", but all channel, MODE message was still displayed by error. Now fixed in CVS.

using bitlbee, the channel &bitlbee is flooded with +v or -v messages from a user root.

"/ignore root MODE &bitlbee" should drop those messages, but the messages are still displayed, even if the ignore rule is correctly set. (localhost/&bitlbee: ignoring MODE from root)

On the other hand, something like "/ignore root MODE *" works as expected.
