Ok I found bug, fixed in cvs.

Moreover, to prevent logs problems (two buffers with same log file), I renamed DCC chat log files, with format: <server>.dcc.<nick>.weechatlog

Hey,

my way to crash weechat (yay :) is the following:
- connect to an IRC-network just the usual way
- open a dcc chat to an eggdrop (running on the same machine than weechat BUT different vhost/IP)
 [/dcc chat <bot>]
- open a query to the very same eggdrop [/query bot]
- paste some lines of text (~20) to both windows (dcc chat and query)
- close the query.

The DCC-chat will disconnect right afterwards and after that, weechat crashes.

Things I have done to narrow it down so far:
- checked with logging disabled (still crashing)
- checked with ALL plugins unloaded (still crashing)

If there is anything else left unclear, please ask. It would also be possible to give you access to the box. However, it is running weechat 0.2.1, due to some python dependency-problems with other programs, but I did verify the bug with weechat 0.2.3 aswell.

I can't reproduce bug (does not crash here, even running with electric fence). Could you please tell me step by step how to reproduce crash ?
If I can't manage to reproduce here, I may need access on your box, if it's possible.

I disabled the logging and it would still crash, so my guess was apparently wrong. :-)

Hey,

I encountered weird crashed of weechat (0.2.1 aswell as 0.2.3) when I opened a query window and a dcc chat to the same person/bot, had some conversation inside these windows and after that closed one of the windows. Weechat would crash immediately after closing one of the windows.


Unfortunately, there is no backtrace, but the bug can easily be reproduced. I'm guessing that it could have something to do with both windows writing to the same logfile or anything related to that.

I'm running weechat on debian (etch/testing) and used the .deb-package to install 0.2.3. 0.2.1 was installed directly from the repository and experienced the same crashes.
See attached crashlogs.
