I could further isolate the bug.

crashes weechat, but this one:

Does not. Seems like there is a problem when the realname is '*'.

I'm creating a small IRC daemon:

 and I found sending certain messages to weechat make it crash. Probably these messages are badly formed but still weechat should not crash when sending it trash.

I'm attaching the server log with the messages that make it crash and the weechat crash log.
