Sat 29 Nov 2014 09:41:59 AM UTC, comment #9: You can use the vlc plugin to reproduce the video inside the web browser, with "unplug": select "open un a new tab" and, depending of the format, the browser will display the video with vlc plugin. If the problem is the plugin then you can mark the issue as solve. Thank you very much.	Anonymous
Sat 29 Nov 2014 08:47:13 AM UTC, comment #8: Yes, that is known effect for the VLC plugin.What do you mean by using the vlc plugin stand alone? I can confirm that the VLC plugin is donwloading the entire video. I think there is nothing I can do. All the LM code is able to do is to prepare the HTML code, so the video plugin can start. I personally use the totem-plugin since it is the default in GNOME/Trisquel. It behaves quite well for me. It is all about personal preferences with the plugins.	Ivaylo Valkov <valkov>

In other words: linterna mágica displays the video through vlc plugin flawlessly but one have to wait until it downloads the hole video. I find it strange because when I use the vlc plugin as standalone, it reproduce the file while the files is being downloaded. So, the problem does not come from LM but the plugin itself? What plugin do you recomend by the way?	Anonymous

My observations are that VLC downloads the entire video, while totem cache a small amount of data. Does YouTube work at all? The past year was very busy for me and I barely had time to even use LM. Last time I've checked it seemed that YouTube does not work.	Ivaylo Valkov <valkov>

Fri 28 Nov 2014 12:25:39 PM UTC, comment #3: Greetings, sorry for the delay. I'm using Trisquel 7 GNU/linux and I'm using Linterna mágica 1.22 with VLC plugin 2.1.4. I've been testing today and it seems that the combination only reproduce short videos. My theory is that LM only play de video once it is completely downloaded. I know this sound stupid but did you deactivate the totem plugin while testing? If both vlc and totem are activated, totem have preference. And thank you for your project :-)	Anonymous
