Currently, the book says:

pushl %eax
is equivalent to
movl %eax, (%esp)
subl $4, %esp

However, this would overwrite any given information currently sitting in (%esp). The correct order is
subl $4, %esp # First make room for new data
movl %eax, (%esp) # Then store content of eax register in there

Thank you for this great book, it is easy to read, yet full of great information.
