The recent test version of TeXmacs (http://ftp.texmacs.org/TeXmacs/dev/testing/20240503/) appears to have lost multi-tab functionality on macOS. While TeXmacs itself doesn't natively support multi-tab functionality, users could access this feature by enabling specific options on macOS, starting from at least version 13 (as shown in the attached screenshot):
- Ensure that the "Always" option is selected under "Desktop & Dock → Prefer tabs when opening documents" in the macOS System Settings.
- Additionally, within TeXmacs, navigate to "Edit → Preferences → General → Buffer Management" and ensure that "Documents in separate windows" is selected.
While the stable support of the native menubar is appreciated, the preservation of multi-tab functionality is also highly desirable in some form or another.
