Yes, it looks like it's fixed now. Thanks!

I think I fixed the regression in CVS.

can you confirm if the changes fix the behavior?

I am using Jailkit 2.6 under Ubuntu 8.10, Ubuntu 7.04 (EOL), and Fedora 10.

When I log in to a jailed user account (with the shell set to /usr/sbin/jk_chrootsh), the login process hangs indefinitely. No errors appear in stderr or any of the logs that I can see. I eventually just have to use Ctrl+C to cancel the login attempt. If I uninstall Jailkit 2.6 and reinstall Jailkit 2.5 without touching any files or configuration, the problem goes away immediately.

The steps I am performing after installing Jailkit include the following (all with sudo):

mkdir /jail
jk_init -v /jail basicshell
adduser hacker
passwd hacker
rm /home/hacker/Examples # Ubuntu only; remove default symlink
jk_jailuser -m -s /bin/bash -j /jail hacker

Then I try to access the account with either 'su hacker' or 'ssh hacker@localhost' and it hangs right after it accepts the password.
