Savannah Administration - News: Mail down :(
Mail down :(
Item posted by Mathieu Roy <yeupou> on Fri 18 Oct 2002 10:30:52 AM UTC.
For the first time in the past 3 years, mail is 100% down at gnu.org
during 48 hours.
The cause of the trouble is independant of the gnu.org setup.
We hope to have everything back on line on the next 24 hours.
Please accept our apologizes for the inconvenience.
In emergency case, only about Savannah (this mail server trouble is not) you can contact Loic Dachary loic@senga.org (only major issues) or me at yeupou@coleumes.org
New projects? (posted by Haakon Nilsen, Sat 19 Oct 2002 12:21:13 PM UTC) |
Just before or during the time this happened, I submitted a request for a new project at Savannah. I haven't heard anything yet, so I'm wondering if the mail downtime has anything to do with it, and is there anything I should do? If the mail my request generated has been lost, should I re-apply for the project? |

Normally, it's only a matter of delay. At this moment, normally you should have already received an answer about it.

Normally many mails was queued (I personally just received a big bunch of them). But there's no way for me to be sure that no mail was lost.

System status (posted by Pavel Roskin, Fri 18 Oct 2002 03:38:04 PM UTC) |
I was logged in on fencepost.gnu.org at 4 am EDT on October 16 when the connection was shut down. It has been two days since then and no mail. I guess some mailing lists have put me into the nomail mode already.

Your guess is right.
